Michelin have shot themselves completely buy overpricing their tyres & making them unobtainable - their bad.Dp Chip is an After-Market intuitive PC which takes advantage of the maximum capacity of current EFI diesel motors. I'm expecting awesome performance/braking in the wet too when that comes but reckon Bridgestone have kicked Michelins arsse to the moon - it's a better tyre all round & almost $400 cheaper all up ! The same goes for the S007A on my Hachi Rocku I got 1.5 years ago that's hardly been used, another awesome tyre - the Bridgestone glory days are back. I notice lots more grip just in the braking alone as I touch the brake pedal, quicker change of steering/direction, more accurate there and the sidewall bead offers up more wheel protection compared to the PS4 which had none. Although early days & all based on dry weather driving so far it's all good news really. A touch noisier than Michelin Pilot Sport 4 but comfy as it absorbs bumps well - yep new tyres. Initial thoughts on my purchase of 4 x Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres 225/45/18 95Y - pleasantly surprised. He told me all the euro diesels inject at around that pressure. He did say that injecting at 30,000psi is a bit of an unknown. He did say the changes that the DP made appeared to not adversely affect the engine. He did tweak it a tad(probably thru one of the settings). I had mine tuned up by turbo Engineering in Melbourne and ray informed me that the DP chip increases injection PSI to gain the increase in performance. I also run UNI Filter and a larger exhaust(beaudesert). I don't work my Prado very hard and the chip does its job well. In standard trim I feel that the prado is a little sluggish at lower RPM, and in my opinion thats where the chip helps the most.

I tow a 20' van and it is definitely an improvement. I have a DP chip in my Prado D4D (2008)Auto. Fuel rail pressure? Inlet temperature? Like I said, was just hoping to find someone here with experience in this. I'm not questioning the price, just don't wanna see him stuff it. The local performance diesel workshop has been trying to sell him a "dp chip" for somewhere around $1200.
